About
Vision
We cultivate vibrant, interconnected communities that honour Indigenous knowledge, promote healing, and provide culturally safe services for Two-Spirit and Indigenous 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals. In these spaces, our kin reclaim their traditional roles, access community resources, and receive holistic support to strengthen mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
Â
We envision a world where Indigenous 2SLGBTQQIA+ people are fully embraced, respected, and supported through education, advocacy, and direct services. Sacred Circles Village strives to eliminate barriers to health, housing, and cultural participation while fostering leadership, justice, and empowerment through Indigenous-led programming.
Mission
Sacred Circles Village is committed to supporting the well-being, cultural resurgence, and self-determination of Two-Spirit and Indigenous 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals through education, advocacy, and culturally grounded services. We cultivate inclusive, interconnected communities that honour Indigenous knowledge, promote healing, and provide access to culturally safe resources. Through mental health support, leadership development, justice advocacy, and land-based cultural programming, we work to eliminate systemic barriers, revitalize traditional roles, and foster community empowerment.

Our Story
Sacred Circles Village was founded by friends and advocates, Sadie Thompson and Stephen Wright, who saw a critical gap in services and resources for Two-Spirit and Indigenous 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals, particularly in smaller and rural communities. They recognized that while urban centres had some support systems in place, many in rural areas lacked access to culturally safe spaces, education, and community-led resources.
With a shared vision for empowerment, healing, and cultural resurgence, Sadie and Stephen created Sacred Circles Village—a space where Indigenous 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals could access support, reclaim traditional roles, and strengthen connections to culture, land, and community.
Through education, advocacy, and culturally grounded programming, Sacred Circles Village ensures that no one is left behind, regardless of location. Our work is built on the belief that healing happens in community, knowledge must be shared, and every person deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.
Together, we reclaim, restore, and revitalize.

Stephen Wright
Sadie Thompson and Stephen Wright, co-founders of Sacred Circles Village, are dedicated advocates, educators, and organizers committed to uplifting Two-Spirit and Indigenous 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals. Recognizing a critical gap in services and resources, especially in rural and remote communities, they created Sacred Circles Village to provide culturally safe spaces, education, and support for those too often overlooked.
With backgrounds in community organizing, advocacy, and cultural education, Sadie and Stephen work to bridge the gap between traditional knowledge and modern support systems, ensuring that healing, justice, and empowerment remain at the heart of every initiative. Through mentorship, programming, and systemic advocacy, they strive to foster resilience, strengthen kinship ties, and revitalize Two-Spirit leadership and cultural identity.
Together, they lead Sacred Circles Village with a vision of reclaiming, restoring, and revitalizing Indigenous 2SLGBTQQIA+ communities.
Our Impact
Sacred Circles Village fosters healing, cultural revitalization, and systemic change for Two-Spirit and Indigenous 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals. Our work addresses cultural erasure, lack of safe spaces, and systemic discrimination, ensuring that our kin can reclaim their identities, access support networks, and thrive in both rural and urban communities. Â
By integrating land-based healing, mental health programs, justice advocacy, and community-building initiatives , we create spaces where Indigenous traditions are honoured, leadership is strengthened, and intergenerational knowledge is restored. Through education, mentorship, and culturally safe services, we work to eliminate barriers to housing, healthcare, and economic opportunities, uplifting Two-Spirit voices in governance and decision-making. Â
At Sacred Circles Village, community impact is measured not just in programs, but in lives transformed—where every individual can reconnect with culture, find belonging, and be empowered to lead with strength and resilience.
